It's so lovely ....

to spend time in my new sewing room!  Why didn't I do this before instead of using the dining room and having to clear everything away all the time?  I came up here this morning with a slice of toast and coffee and just sat looking at the sewing I had been doing last night - heaven!

Archie has made himself right at home ....

A package arrived this morning from the USA!!!  A new book by Lori Holt.  It's fantastic ... I'm very excited.  Going to make another cushion from one of the patterns ...

my very own sewing room!!!!  It's so exciting!!!  And it's all down to Ikea and my lovely husband - thank you David!!!

Been sewing this afternoon ...

this is going to be a gift for a very special person in my life!

But you'll have to wait and see what it is and who it is for !!! :)

Very excited ...

had to go to Bath yesterday so dropped into Country Threads and guess what???  They had this fabric ...

I just love it!!!  I have a lampshade in it and now I'll be able to make some cushions or a quilt!!!

Whilst I was there I also bought some pink fabrics for a couple of birthday presents I want to make ...

Looking at this pink fabric has reminded me of the photo I took yesterday while walking Archie ...

Archie is almost nose to nose with one of these ....

They were so sweet - think I might start to like pigs instead of chickens!!!!

Just wanted to finish by saying I hope my Dad, my Mum-in-law and my husband all feel much better soon!!!

Happy New Year ....

I've started the new year by making a quick cushion gift for a friend ...

it's the first time I've used this traditional school house block and I love it - it was so simple to do!

I quilted it with my favourite blanked stitch and I added a couple of heart buttons ...

Maggie lives in a Barn and she has chickens so I hope she likes the chicken fabric!
